Mata Nui - Takua (the Chronicler)
Matoran villagers of Mata Nui live and work in six villages around the island.
Takua is unusual among his fellow Matoran. Originally a member of Ta-Koro, Takua sought adventure by wandering the island and recording his findings in his Chronicle. This earned him his first nickname, the Chronicler. Along his journeys, Takua was among the first to greet the Toa, and also assisted them during their confrontation with Makuta. After the Toa were victorious, Takua discovered a new threat: the Bohrok were awakening!
This resourceful villager later discovered the Avohkii "Mask of Light," and with his friend Jaller he sought the legendary Seventh Toa. Nobody was more surprised when Takua discovered he was meant to become that Toa, Takanuva.
